Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Sanitation Associate. As a Sanitation Associate, you will be responsible for performing cleaning and sanitation tasks according to established procedures and regulatory requirements. They will have a strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities: - Execute sanitation procedures for all areas of the warehouse, including production floors, equipment, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, following established cleaning schedules and protocols.
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the warehouse.
- Use cleaning agents, disinfectants, and sanitizers according to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines, ensuring proper dilution and application methods.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment for thorough cleaning, ensuring compliance with manufacturer instructions and safety protocols.
- Inspect facility areas for cleanliness and sanitation compliance, identifying any deficiencies or areas requiring additional attention and taking corrective action as needed.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and chemicals, requesting replenishment as necessary to maintain adequate stock levels.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience in sanitation or janitorial work preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation principles, and chemical safety practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina and agility to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate production schedules and sanitation needs.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with regulatory requirements, including OSHA and FDA regulations.
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Ability to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, twist, and stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Must not be sensitive to various scents and fragrances.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
- May be exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers.
