Master Scheduler I Location : Location US-OH-Avon Requisition ID 2024-8419 Category Materials Planning Segment Kaman Aerospace Shift Shift 1 of Openings 1 Posted Date 6 hours ago(7/8/2024 7:52 AM) Overview Responsible to create, develop, deploy, oversee, and maintain the overall Master Production Schedule (MPS) to support the organization's sales, business performance, and customer service objectives. This role assembles the MPS based upon the business demand, forecast, shipment, inventory, production, and capacity plans and serves as a primary point for matters regarding production status, schedule changes, shipping information, and materials status. Scope/Supervision and Interaction: _ Has Direct Reports X Does Not Have Direct Reports Essential Duties and Responsibilities Create and maintain the detailed Master Production Schedule (MPS) and material plans for AWB's product lines within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system used to drive Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and planning production capacity in support of the organization's Sales & Operations Plan (S&OP). Revises the master schedule as necessary when material shortages or capacity issues cannot be resolved to meet schedule and reports significant deviations. Performing operations and planning analytics using data driven approaches to development of the MPS with both forecasted and actual demand plans balanced to capacity and material constraints. Collaborate cross-functionality to implement solutions to resolve issues. Plan and release assembly shop orders pursuant to the MPS and customer requirements by reviewing schedule attainment through manufacturing production outputs and material availability supplies. Drive full utilization of ERP system capabilities to automate planning activities through applicable system tools. Contribute to optimize inventory plans for both make to stock and make to order strategies. Assist to troubleshoot inventory issues between shop orders, purchase orders, and production yields. Update produced volumes and machine hours with scheduling and operations teams. Interact daily with operations, purchasing, and technical leads by providing schedule status data. Perform lead time analyses for material and assembly requirements. Provide insight to schedule trends and make recommendations for process changes, equipment. 10. Benchmark and transfer best practices and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (BA) in Business Administration. Demonstrated ability and successful track record to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through eight (8) or more years of increasingly responsible related Master Scheduling and Production Planning experience. Expertise in scheduling and advanced MRP/ERP tools. Advanced specialized knowledge of manufacturing resource planning principles. Demonstrated high levels of theoretical knowledge with practical application of planning and scheduling with thorough knowledge of manufacturing resource planning systems and interface operations. Strong analytical skills to aggregate and review complex data sets. Supply Chain and Operations skill in Demand Planning, Production Planning, Quality Management and Capacity Planning.
