Job Description

Ainsley Search Group is seeking a Lead Production Planner for a fast-growing Manufacturer located in Delaware County. This Planner will report to the Materials Manager to plan and schedule daily production capacity pertaining resource, equipment and manpower. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with lucrative compensation, bonus and competitive benefit. Responsibilities:

  • Report to Materials Manager and oversee the daily planning, pre-planning, and scheduling for production schedule and inventory based off customer projects.
  • Determine production demand based on demand forecast and lead-time, analyze available resource pertaining manpower, equipment, and raw materials; develop and plan for production schedule.
  • Using MRP/ERP to manage inventory, analyze stock level (safety and cycle), stock aging and cycle time to determine availability and replenishment based upon current and future production volume.
  • Monitor inventory and optimize inventory turns and performance, minimize and control inventory obsolescence.
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to determine purchasing needs for sales order and production demand; implement strategic purchasing plan to cut cost and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Production Manager, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Shipping/receiving to ensure production progresses on-time and within budget, address issues timely to minimize production disruption.

Qualifications:

  • BA Degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent work experience
  • Recent 5+ years of experience MRP Planning, Production Scheduling, exposure to high mix, low volume project-based manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in MRP and ERP systems.
  • Strong in analytical thinking, good at match and statistics.
  • Excellent problem- solving skills and attention to details.
  • Team player and a people person, work well under pressure and minimal supervisor.
