JOB DESCRIPTION
Southeastern Food Merchandisers is currently looking to fill the position of Merchandise Loader.
Interested applicants will be responsible for loading pre-assembled merchandise/pallets for shipment or transporting on delivery vehicles as directed under general supervision.
- Must be able to, safely and constantly, load shipments of boxes weighing up to 100 pounds each.
- Must load trucks according to truck mapping and special instructions.
- Responsible for loading product in a manner to avoid damages and maintain load stability to ensure the driver's safety.
- Ensures pallets are properly wrapped and stable.
- Unloads and cleans out delivery trucks as necessary.
- Must be able to, safely and competently, operate forklifts and pallet jacks (manual and electric).
- Responsible for preparing products for shipment under general supervision by handling and transporting pallets as necessary.
- Ensures that pallets have pick labels facing out to allow for proper delivery to customers.
- Ensures that all pallets are strapped safely and properly using the E-tracks in each trailer to secure the load.
- May be required to hand load product onto trucks as required.

HOURS Full time 9:00 a.m. until end of shift. Shift end times may vary. Sunday through Friday with rotating off schedule.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED.
Minimum 3 months experience operating a pallet jack or forklift.
Previous experience in the warehouse industry (preferred).
