    Job Details
  • A hospital in Sacramento is looking for experienced Oncology RN for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 years of experience, hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and CA License.
    Job Requirements
  • 2 years of experience.
  • Active BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification.
  • NIHSS certification.
  • California Nursing License.
    Schedule Information
  • 12 hr shifts. 7 - 730.
  • Report is at the bedside.
  • OT and extra shifts are available.
  • Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it.
  • Schedules are out 4 weeks.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Oncology patient population with general MedSurg overflow.
  • Floating to all other Sacramento facilities.
  • Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen.
  • Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.
    Additional Details
  • ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; Med Solutions prescreens/auto offer & manager has 24 hrs to rescind.
  • Need 2 supervisory references (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 within 12 months & 1 within 3 years worked.
  • Modules are required before start. Modules take 3-4 hours - not billable.
  • ***PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE, THE DYS EXAM (BASIC) THROUGH UNA IS REQUIRED ALONG WITH ACCEPTANCE. MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24-48 HRS. IT’S PASS OR FAIL AND THEY GET 2 ATTEMPTS***.
  • A screenshot showing the number of attempts is required.
  • **We can accept the Relias basic Dys exam within the last 12 months if the traveler has previously taken.**
  • If your traveler fails the 2nd attempt, they will be made DNU for CommonSpirit AZ and Sac.
