Job Description

Core Clinical Partners is looking for a Market Medical Director to lead more than 50 Emergency Medicine physicians and APPs across a 3 hospital market of the non-profit Piedmont system in Augusta, GA. This role will have a mix of clinical and leadership responsibilities and will report directly to Core's Chief Medical Officer. Core is a physician founded, physician owned company that has no private equity stakeholders and no debt. 

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for emergency medicine services across all three campuses.
  • Oversee and support a team of over 50 full-time clinicians, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes high standards of clinical care and professional growth.

Operational Oversight:

  • Ensure efficient and effective operations of the emergency departments at Piedmont Augusta (60K annual visits), Piedmont Summerville (15K annual visits), and Piedmont McDuffie (20K annual visits).
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Clinical Excellence:

  • Maintain the highest standards of emergency medical care across all campuses.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Facilitate ongoing education, training, and professional development for clinical staff.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with hospital administration, department heads, and other stakeholders to align emergency medicine services with overall organizational goals.
  • Represent the emergency medicine department in meetings, committees, and community outreach activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referring physicians, specialists, and external partners.

Qualifications:

  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine.
  • Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in emergency medicine.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.
