Staff Accountant

• CFS of New York is working with a well-established Engineering firm seeking a Staff Accountant to join their firm
• Our client has completed projects nationwide and is continuing to expand. They pride themselves on creating not only beautiful design, but energy efficient engineering
• This role reports to the CFO with opportunities for future growth
• Hybrid position, 3 days on site, 2 days remote with flexibility

Responsibilities:

• Manage Accounts Payable process via vendor portals, match invoices to purchase orders, obtain approvals, process for payment
• AR/Collections and billing responsibilities, ensure timely statements are sent to customers
• Assist with month end closing activities including bank reconciliations, journal entries and assist with preparation of financial statements
• Communicate with Principles / Management daily regarding business operations

Experience Preferred:

• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Bachelors a plus
• Experience with Deltek Ajera a plus
• Experience with engineering / real estate a plus
