JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - To ensure that all maintenance functions, including preventative maintenance are following company and
- brand standards for compliance and safety
- Ensures fulfillment of preventative maintenance programs o brand standards including equipment, heating
- and air conditioning units, ice machines, fire extinguishers/smoke alarms, plumbing
- Completes preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public space
- Ensures swimming pool and spa maintenance duties are performed according to brand standards and health department regulations
- Proactively follow specific departmental procedures in performing repair, maintenance, alteration, and installation work in a safe and neat manner.
- Delegate, supervise, and participate in all preventive and general maintenance programs by maintaining a room's maintenance strategy and scheduling preventive maintenance
- Assists other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving guest concerns
- Educated hotel personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions
- Acts as Manager on Duty when required
- Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Minimum of High School education, post high school education preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year in a hotel maintenance position, supervisory role preferred
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and general carpentry
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES - Ability to multi-task
- Team player
- Ability to exceed expectations of guests
