Job Highlights
  • Location - Phoenix, AZ
  • Class A Regional Driver
  • Rate - The position is paid hourly
  • Schedule - Monday - Friday (with 2 to 3 overnights per week) OldCastle pays for hotel accommodations, and daily per diem
  • The product being delivered - Architectural Glass - To job sites, customer locations, docks, and warehouses
  • Equipment - Late model Flatbed
  • Hours - 50 to 60 per week
  • Health Benefits - Eligible 1st of the Month following your start date

Here’s What You’ll Get To Do
  • Ability to use and understand computerized tracking systems, and production labels
  • Day-to-day activities will consist of handling and loading/unloading glass and metal products, load securement, daily pre and post-trip of vehicles, multiple deliveries, and customer service
  • Unloading could include handling loose, crated, and racked glass, metal and associated products, as well as, operating boom cranes
  • Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including Critical Safety Rules, are essential functions of your job
Qualifications
  • We require a minimum of 2 years of recent CMV driving experience or completed a DOT driver training class from an accredited truck driving school and 1 year of verifiable driving experience
  • Last 3 years clean driving record with no tickets or accidents
  • Must possess a valid CDL license issued by the state of residence
  • Able to work a flexible starting time
  • Must be able to complete logbook requirements and all other assigned necessary paperwork
  • Must be able to read and interpret mathematical measurements of glass sizes and delivery schedules as well as effectively use a tape measure
  • Must follow all DOT requirements including an unexpired Medical Examiners Certificate
  • Good customer relations and people skills are a must
  • Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job
  • Handle product in a manner that will not cause damage to the product or injury to self or others
  • Recognize product defects and notify the supervisor immediately of any issues
What We’re Looking For
  • To be considered for an Operator position, the following conditions must be met
  • Basic computer familiarity
  • Read and use a tape measure
  • Basic English
  • Read and perform mathematical calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions, and decimals normally acquired through high school education or equivalency
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Able to work 12 hours shifts
