Through the collection and resale of gently used goods we are able to provide the financial support to assist men and women with a variety of social and spiritual afflictions. The in-residence rehabilitation program focuses on basic necessities with every man or woman being provided a clean and healthy living environment, good food, work therapy, leisure time activities, group and individual counseling, and spiritual direction. All our effort is focused on developing life skills and a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. More than just a job, each member of the team contributes to recycling goods that literally recycle and repair broken lives.nnThe Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sorter/Processor to perform a variety of functions in order to assist in the operation of the sorting room or production area of a Production Store.nnResponsibilitiesnnAssist as required with sorting room operation.nnCross train in all sorting room functions under the guidance of the Sorting Room Supervisor.nnAssist in cleaning and general maintenance of sorting room area.nnMaintain a clean and clutter free work area.nnResponsible for baling as needed.nnThis position will support the work therapy program component of The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers by providing to beneficiaries; an example of professional conduct, work habits, and supervision (as directed by Supervisor).nnOther duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Administrator.nnSorternnProcess and sort donations by inspecting and separating saleable from unsaleable items.nnDeliver a minimum of 300 store quality garments per hour.nnCategorize and box seasonal clothing, bric, and shoes.nnHanger/TaggernnProcess, hang, and tag all sorted merchandise.nnDeliver a minimum of 225 hung garments per hour.nnEnsure clothes are hung according to policy and on proper hanger.nnEnsure that tag is properly placed on garment according to Salvation Army policynnPricernnProcess and price all sorted merchandise.nnDeliver a minimum of 225 priced garments per hour.nnEnsure that quality, name brand, condition, etc., are considered to determine price of garment.nnBric a BracnnSort and clean all saleable miscellaneous merchandise donations daily.nnTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item.nnPlace and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner.nnRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.nnShoes/AccessoriesnnSort and clean all saleable shoes, handbags and accessory donations daily.nnTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item.nnProcess to the store a minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hour maintaining all merchandise in the required order and manner.nnRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.nnDomesticsnnSort and measure all saleable linen items daily as requirednnTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item.nnProcess to the store a minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hour maintaining all merchandise in the required order and manner.nnRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.nnBooks/Records/ToysnnSort and clean all saleable merchandise daily as required.nnTicket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item in accordance with established policies.nnPlace and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner.nnRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial Rag Out Calendar.nnFurniture/ElectricalnnSort, clean and test all electrical and furniture donations as required.nnTicket all electrical merchandise using “sold as is” tickets and assign an individual fair market price for each item.nnComplete furniture tickets and record required information assigning a fair market price for each furniture item.nnPlace and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner.nnMark down furniture items on sales floor in accordance with policy.nnRag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.nnQualificationsnnProcessing experience preferred.nnHave a working knowledge of clothing quality and price.nnAbility to stand for long periods.nnCan lift 50 pounds.nnJob LocationsUS-MA-WorcesternnJob ID 2022-10109nnCategory WarehousennCompensation Min USD $15.00/Hr.nnCompensation Max USD $15.00/Hr.nnType Regular Part-Time
