The incumbent assists in weighing, pricing, and wrapping selected foods on plates, trays and in bags, prepares food displays in counter cases and other display units, greets customers as they arrive at service counter, takes special orders, and answers basic customer questions about specialty foods. Perform a wide variety of manual tasks in kitchen or dining area of a food activity, which involves light to moderate physical effort and is done according to established procedures. Takes payment and makes change for customers.nnHourly wage $17.20 per hournnPrimary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.nnSet up food on self-serving lines and portion food for individual servings in accordance with instructions.nnRefill cold bars, salad bars, pastry cabinets, condiments, juice dispensers, and set up dining rooms.nnReplace glassware, dishes and silverware and refill condiment containers. Wipe and wash tables and countertops.nnClean work area, utensils, and equipment; remove garbage; mop floors, walls, windows, and tables.nnRemove dirty dishes, glasses, and silverware from serving counters. Mix washing solutions and operate electric dish washing machine and/or wash dishes, glassware, pots and pans and kitchen utensils by hand.nnAdditional ResponsibilitiesnnMaintain in a sanitary condition equipment and work areas, utensils, and tables.nnPerform ware-washing, and keep pot and pan areas in order prior to, during and after the meals.nnFollow correct techniques, cleaning schedules and tasks.nnPerform other responsibilities as assigned.nnQualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)nnHigh school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred.nnOne (1) food-service related experience preferred.nnKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesnnStrong customer service skills.nnNeat, well-groomed appearance.nnPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
