SUMMARY: Plans, coordinates, and performs preventative maintenance and repair work throughout assigned facilities - Teton County/Jackson Recreation Center. Manages budget, special projects and vendor supply contracts.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The job description is subject to change at any time by the employer. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prioritizes work assignments and delegates those to Maintenance Technician and Custodial staff; prepares vendor/contractor work schedules; may provide or assist with employee training; logs preventative maintenance and repair work completed.
- Assists with the development of the budget; tracks expenses; submits invoices for payment; itemizes equipment inventory; orders parts, equipment, and supplies; solicits quotes.
- Recommends vendors and provides contract administration.
- Conducts walk-though of buildings, including Aquatics and all associated pump, mechanical and electrical rooms, Gymnasiums, Climbing Gym, Fitness, to check for operation of all mechanical systems and identify maintenance needs.
- Assists in completion of maintenance and repair tasks.
- Supervises the custodial staff and maintains inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Provides weekly updates on the state of the facility to Operations Manager
- Schedules working shifts for Custodial staff as well as Maintenance Technician. Ensuring that most days offer facility support on-site during the majority of facility's open hours.
- Supports the relationship between Recreation Center staff and the general public by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with visitors and Recreation Center staff; maintains confidentiality of work-related issues and information; performs other duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in facilities operations preferred
- Three years of experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
Required Licenses and Certifications:
- Must possess a valid Wyoming/Idaho Driver's License and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Specific technical skills training and certifications may be required.
Required Knowledge of:
- Safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
- Principles and practices of effective project management, leadership, supervision, and training.
- Fundamental operations and repairs of mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Local community issues and regional community resources available to citizens.
Required Skills in:
- Working with little or no supervision.
- Providing supervision and delegating tasks.
- Performing general maintenance work.
- Preparing and administering a budget.
Work Environment:
- Required to respond to facilities emergencies after hours and on weekends, as needed.
- Work is primarily performed in a standard office environment. May participate in maintenance work that involves exposure to dangerous tools and equipment; safety precautions must be followed, including use of safety equipment.
