About the Position:
Water spider is responsible for ensuring the production team has all the materials, supplies and tools to do the daily task. the water spider in lean manufacturing performs tasks across multiple zones of manufacturing, visiting each production area to ensure the appropriate replenishment of resources and remaining vigilant of all the stages of production. The water spider team member is like a mobile Kanban system that refills the production line with the required materials to maintain a steady flow. The person filling a water spider position needs to have a good understanding of the process, excellent communication skills, and has got to follow the standards of each process stage.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Constant communication with line leads and supervisors.
  • Bring materials to production line to keep the flow continues running.
  • Excellent communication with forklift drivers
  • Able to communicate with material handling crew for material adjustments through our CRL system.
  • Responsible for reviewing production queues
  • Send daily productions shortages reports as needed.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and carrying.
  • Must be able to move up to 40 pounds at a time.
