You will find the workday interesting as you provide labor support for construction, maintenance, installation and emergency response on our gas distribution/transmission lines.nnPrimary Duties and ResponsibilitiesnnThis list does not reflect the job duties in their entirety.nnPrepare job sites for safe operationnnFrequent work around live gas mains and services performing taps, stop-offs, or tie-ins.nnExcavate site using manual tools, excavating machinery, and shoring following all safety proceduresnnInstallation and maintenance of steel pipe or non-steel systems Polyethylene (PE) plastic pipe utilizing heat fusion/electrofusion.nnPerform various safety tests, including pressure tests, on gas pipelines.nnOperate and perform preventative and corrective inspections on company vehicles and equipment.nnSuccessful Candidate Must Have:nnA high school diploma or GEDnnA valid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordnnConstruction & Maintenance Tech: 0 years of experience and the ability to obtain and maintain a New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within 1 year of hire through company-provided paid trainingnnWorking ConditionsnnConstruction and/or field environment. May be required to work overtime and/or be on-call. Will be exposed year-round to outside weather conditions. Personal protective equipment required. Regularly required to stand and walk with the ability to bend, twist, balance, and climb frequently. Occasionally sit to drive vehicles and operate heavy equipment.
