Job Description

A rapidly growing science-based skincare company in Mission Viejo is seeking an HR Assistant to join their team.
This is a full-time, temp to hire opportunity with pay starting at $26-27/hour. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm or 9am-6pm.
The HR Assistant will provide comprehensive support to the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for assisting with the administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs. The
HR Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Prepare and maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
2. Employee Relations:
  • Assist in the resolution of employee issues and conflicts.
  • Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures.
3. Benefits Administration:
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and changes.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate records of employee benefits.
4. HR Administration:
  • Maintain HR databases and generate reports as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule HR-related meetings and training sessions.
5. Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in an HR support role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (ADP experience is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible in terms of business needs.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $26.00 - $27.00 Per Hour
