23.98 per hour | Florence, AZ, USA | Hourly | Full TimennGENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSEnnThe Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning Mechanic installs, services, and repairs environmental-control systems in office buildings and other industrial areas.nnMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITIONnnReplace air and water filtersnnClean condenser and evaporator coilsnnClear drain pans and drain lines to avoid overflowsnnReplace worn pulleys and beltsnnInspect ducts for mold, dust, and debrisnnCheck and adjust humidity levelsnnCheck refrigerant charge and repair leaksnnTest thermostats and controls to make sure temperatures and timer functions are set correctlynnReplace defective breaker controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiringnnCheck electrical system and connections with IR camerannCheck blowers and blades for proper airflow and for vibrationnnLubricate motors, bearings, and moving parts; replace as needednnTest for and repair gas leaksnnTroubleshoot and correct all equipment failuresnnTrack all failures and PM records in CMMS and on paper logsnnOther general maintenance, housekeeping, plumbing, and electrical duties as requirednnAny and all other duties assigned by your Supervisor/Manager/LeadnnJOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIESnnEXPERIENCE: Three to five years' experience in HVAC equipment and controls maintenance. Repair in an industrial/commercial environment is preferred.nnSKILLS:nnMust have good communication skills, have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishnnAbility to read blueprints, building plans and schematics as requirednnMust be able to read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of equipmentnnThe ability to use a variety of power tools, hand tools, and meters safelynnADDITIONAL:nnHands-on ability to work in a team-oriented environment.nnRequired to work independently and with limited supervision.nnComply with all policies, safety guidelines, and procedures; follow all contract specifications and maintain compliance.nnMust be able to maintain regular and acceptable attendance, follow directions, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow posted work rules/procedures.nnMust have a government security clearance or ability to obtain upon hire.nnEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONnnHS Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field desired.nnUniversal HVAC Certification requirednnPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSnnThe work environment, while generally hazard-free, may include some exposure to dust and varying temperatures. This position may require lifting up to 75 pounds with or without assistance. Constant walking and standing for extended periods of time may be required. Reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, climbing and balancing may be needed. Significant hand and finger dexterity is required.nnWORK HOUR REQUIREMENTnnThis position is full time (40 hours per week) and may include some shift work including Saturdays and Sundays.
