Job Title: Human Capital Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time
Duties:
- Provide administrative support for onboarding and offboarding, including new employee orientation, preparation of offer letters, and processing of personnel actions.
- Coordinate entry-on-duty (EOD) dates for new hires and follow up with candidates on pre-employment forms, reference checks, and security package requirements.
- Maintain accurate records in the HC Dashboard and electronic Official Personnel Folders (eOPFs), supporting the Talent Acquisitions and Transactions teams as needed.
- Assist in processing benefits eligibility determinations, service computation dates, and updating personnel information in the National Finance Center’s (NFC) payroll/personnel systems.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries regarding application processes, recruitment statuses, and onboarding requirements.
Requirements:
- Experience with USA Staffing and related HR systems, including NFC, eOPF, EmpowHR, and GRB.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Knowledge of federal HR procedures, coding personnel actions, and service computation requirements.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of federal recruitment, onboarding, classification, and pay-setting processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally to inquiries and support a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple administrative tasks with accuracy, attention to detail, and timely completion.
