(GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.nnWe are looking for a First Shift Electrical Quality Inspector to join our team. Under general direction, this position is responsible for receiving, in-process and final inspections of electronic/electrical cables, wiring, printed circuit boards (PCB), printed wiring assembly components, assemblies, and system installations in accordance with engineering requirements using associated drawing, schematics and parts lists. Maintains proper records of tests and inspections and configuration of systems under tests. Uses hand tools, small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures, and may perform source inspections. May recommend and develop inspection procedures. May act as a lead while providing guidance and direction to less experienced staff.nnDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:nnVisually inspects electronic circuit boards, cables, and assemblies. Performs in-process and final inspection or tests of major components, subsystems and systems.nnVerifies proper records of tests and inspections.nnPerforms inspection of installed equipment into control shelters.nnPerforms source inspections in supplier facilities, in-house inspection, and follow up. Interfaces with and assists customers' inspectors during their on-site source inspection.nnInterface with manufacturing, quality engineering, software engineering, and procurement for corrective actions and inspection criteria.nnMay recommend and develop inspection procedures for all electrical product types when requested.nnMay act as the inspection leader when requested. Provides guidance, training, and direction to other staff.nnResponsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.nnOther duties as assigned or required.nnWe recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.nn46986nnJob Qualifications:nnTypically requires high school diploma, technical trade school training or equivalent and two or more years experience in electronics inspection and testing, including experience with printed circuit board assembly, cable assembly and electromechanical assembly.nnIPC certification is a must for this role.nnMust be customer focused and possess:nnAbility to read and interpret a variety of complex engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions and manualsnnComplete knowledge of inspection equipmentnnBasic knowledge of IPC standards for acceptability of electronic assemblies and MIL standards for soldering and assembly requirementsnnAbility to perform complex mathematical calculationsnnSkills to maintain the flow of work within the unitnnGood interpersonal skills and written communication skills to interface with employees and to identify, document and resolve non-compliance issuesnnBasic computer skills.nnThe ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours as required.nnThe ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance is required.nnSalary: $48,160 - $71,598 Travel Percentage Required 0 - 25 Relocation Assistance Provided Not Provided US Citizenship Required?
