POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:nnPerforms a variety of working level, technical, and skilled duties as needed to assure the effective and efficient operation of process, packaging, shipping, equipment and machinery.nnESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:nnExecutes skilled duties to support process, packaging, and plant equipment, ensuring their optimal functioning. Offers prompt and professional assistance to equipment operators as needed.nnMonitors equipment operations by thoroughly studying equipment manuals and specifications, acquiring the necessary knowledge to assist production personnel during the setup process.nnProvides training to equipment operators on basic and routine procedures for making adjustments and tuning equipment to achieve optimum performance.nnPerforms any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.nnNote: This description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employee may be requested to perform other duties as assigned.nnEDUCATION EXPERIENCE:nnHigh School diploma or equivalent.nnMinimum of 1 year of specialized training through recognized apprenticeships, professionally sponsored workshops, or vocational training programs.nnMinimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a related field.nnSKILLS AND ABILITIES:nnAbility to avoid and resolve conflicts effectively.nnAbility to communicate well both verbally and in writing with operators, technicians, vendors and management.nnWorks under the general guidance and direction of the Plant Maintenance Manager.nnAbility to work long hours, rotating shifts, weekends and/or on call.nnMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English.nnAbility to lift up to 50 lbs with or without aid of equipment.nnForklift certified.nnPHYSICAL DEMANDS:nnThe employee may be required to left and/or move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.nnWORK ENVIRONMENT:nnGenerally performs in an open manufacturing facility and participates in the maintenance and adjusting of equipment. Tasks include: walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, climbing and lifting. Normal eye, hand, and finger dexterity are required.
