In return, we'll help you build a career that you can feel passionate about.nnJob SummarynnWe are seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 at our production site for our Stoneridge, NY location.nnThis individual will perform routine and moderately complex daily and preventative maintenance, repair machinery, and assist in construction and refurbishment of physical plant.nnThis position requires participation in 24-hour on-call rotating duty.nnFull time benefits including medical/dental/vision/paid time off/holiday pay/401KnnSalary: $23.00-$25.00 per hournnESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:nnPerform a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks to assist in the daily repair, preventative maintenance and construction of machinery and physical plant and expansion projects, including routine carpentry, masonry, electrical, heating/air-conditioning, plumbing, painting, mechanical and floor/wall coating installation.nnOperate construction and maintenance equipment and power tools; maintain hand tools and assigned equipment; perform preventative maintenance on equipment.nnPerform scheduled inspections/repairs on all facilities systems.nnExamine machinery and equipment to diagnose trouble using basic mechanical tools and equipment. Disassemble machines and equipment and adjust, replace or repair broken or defective parts and pieces.nnInspect completed mechanical repairs for quality, safety, and proper operation.nnPerform equipment calibration and preventative maintenance procedures as directed.nnPerform supply, delivery, distribution and acquisition tasks as directed.nnMay perform waste vacuum maintenance.nnParticipate in snow removal and ice remediation activities such as shoveling and spreading de- icing agents on walkways and parking lots, where site weather conditions necessitate.nnAssist in moving office contents within site, including furniture, files, etc. as needed.nnMaintain accurate records of maintenance repairs and services.nnRespond to emergencies as needed. Provide 24-hour on-call maintenance coverage, as scheduled in rotation.nnMay provide guidance to less experienced/skilled utility workers.nnMay operate yard equipment such as fork lift and pick up truck including attaching and removing equipment such as snow plow blade.nnTake proper safety precautions and utilize appropriate safety gear/equipment in the performance of all duties.nnPerform all other related duties as assigned.nnMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSnnHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.)nnOne to three years' experience in general building maintenance with mechanical and construction backgroundnnAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.nnMust be able to understand and follow verbal directions.nnPHYSICAL DEMANDS:nnWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.nnThe employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.nnThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.nnSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.nnWORK ENVIRONMENT:nnWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions.
