Contingent/PRN
In this role you will provide occupational therapy services to patients impaired by physical and/or cognitive dysfunction, including assessment, treatment planning and implementation of treatment plans. Provides supervision for OTAs and aides as assigned. Completes appropriate documentation and adheres to policies, procedures and current standards of clinical practice.
Conducts occupational therapy screenings and evaluations to determine patient independence with activities of daily living, including self-care skills, work and leisure.
Provides occupational therapy treatments consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the AOTA for an Occupational Therapist.
Provides direct patient care in accordance with productivity standards by use of graded activities to facilitate the restoration of physical and functional abilities.
Provides documentation to maintain quality of the medical record as it relates to accuracy, continuity of care and reimbursement guidelines.
Participates in CQI activities as required ensuring continuous quality of care.
Participates in additional activities directed to facilitate effective departmental operations.
Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
Ability to react effectively to the needs of patients and their families.
