Job Description
Right now we are looking for a skilled EMG Physical Therapist to join our team. As an Electromyography (EMG) Physical Therapist, you will specialize in assessing and treating patients with neuromuscular disorders using EMG technology. Your responsibilities will be to evaluate muscle function through EMG testing and develop treatment plans to improve patient mobility, functionality and quality of life.

What you'll do:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients using EMG technology to evaluate muscle and nerve function.
Interpret EMG results and collaborate with healthcare providers to diagnose neuromuscular disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on EMG findings, patient goals, and medical history.
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve muscle strength, range of motion, coordination, and overall functional abilities.
Educate patients on therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living modifications, and self-management techniques.
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Document all assessments, treatments, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, neurologists, and other healthcare professionals,to coordinate patient care.
Stay informed about advancements in EMG technology and evidence-based practices in physical therapy.

What you'll need:

Graduate degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Certification or specialized training in Electromyography (EMG) and/or neuromuscular physical therapy preferred.
Proven experience in conducting EMG assessments and treating patients with neuromuscular disorders.
Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology related to neuromuscular conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and promoting patient advocacy.
Proficiency in documentation and electronic medical records systems.
