As a Quality Inspector, you will examine machined products for defects and /or ensure parts meet the required specifications according to the blueprint. Responsibilities:
- Inspect machined and sheet metal parts and assemblies, first piece set-ups, and in-process parts.
- Final inspection of all sub-assemblies.
- Final inspection of all completed parts.
- Maintain calibration program.
- Select a sample of parts, visually and physically examine the sample using CMM and comparing to blueprint specifications.
- Read detailed blueprints.
- Informs and works with various departments when the percentage of defects exceeds allowable limits to correct deficiencies.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED; preferred completion of related trade school program
- Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing inspection capacity
- 3 or more years related experience preferred
- Experience in job shop environment required
- Touch probe CMM experience
- Machining experience a plus
- Proven experience using various CMM
- CMM programming experience a plus
- Ability to read detailed blueprints. Strong math skills. Knowledge of AS 9102 FAI requirements
- GD&T applications
- Ability to read and comprehend Defense, Aerospace, Medical and Commercial requirements and specifications
