POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking for a candidate highly adaptable to changes in the business need, flexible to working schedules and eager to learn and perform different tasks at our facility in Oxnard, California. The candidate must be conscious and follow safety requirements when moving and operating the equipment. In addition, this position will be responsible for the physical and mechanical condition of the equipment, through daily and weekly inspections and providing basic maintenance.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Perform the weekly and daily inspection of the equipment assigned for the week by following the check list provided.
•Perform the basic maintenance of the equipment.
•Responsible for the order and cleanliness of the equipment
•Follow all safety procedures for the movement and operation of the equipment.
•Move containers to and from the warehouse doors/docks and the parking spots at the yard or in the warehouses. Open and close the container doors when at the docks.
•Support the reach stacker operator on chassis swap for over the road dispatches.
•Make the necessary movements of equipment within the yard/warehouses as instructed by Supervisors (or Manager) to organize the facility
•Plug and unplug containers from their parking spot when necessary
•Keep track of the movements performed with the equipment.
•Keep track of fuel requirement of the equipment.
•Comply with any additional task assigned by the Operation Superintendent and/or Manager.
