**Job Title: Packaging Operator**
**Job Description**
Operate vial filling machines, fabrication machines, and/or secondary packaging equipment including labels and semi-automatic packaging equipment. Clean and set up manufacturing/packaging equipment. Assure appropriate calibration stickers are current. Record all necessary documentation in appropriate logbooks and batch records. Palletize completed work and transport to warehouse as necessary. Complete downtime log accurately and contemporaneously.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate vial filling machines, fabrication machines, and/or secondary packaging equipment including labels and semi-automatic packaging equipment.
+ Clean and set up manufacturing/packaging equipment.
+ Ensure all calibration stickers are current.
+ Record all necessary documentation in appropriate logbooks and batch records.
+ Palletize completed work and transport to the warehouse as necessary.
+ Complete downtime logs accurately and contemporaneously.
+ Meet established scrap rate goals.
+ Communicate with IPC Operator on all issues concerning quality, components, and machine performance.
+ Ensure all reconciled labeling (e.g., pouch stock, inserts, shipper labels, and waste) is properly accounted for.
+ Communicate mechanical issues and other production information with incoming and outgoing shifts.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in packaging and production environments.
+ Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
+ Experience with labeling and packaging equipment.
+ Ability to operate vial filling machines, fabrication machines, and secondary packaging equipment.
+ Basic reading, writing, and verbal skills.
+ Basic mathematic skills.
+ Basic use of tools and equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school graduate or equivalent.
+ Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical packaging experience required.
+ Ability to stand for the majority of the day.
+ Ability to lift or move 25-49 pounds.
+ Ability to gown for manufacturing.
+ Good manual dexterity and visual acuity.
+ Knowledge of all appropriate SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and their practical application.

**Work Environment**
This position operates on the 3rd shift from 10:15 PM to 6:30 AM. Training will be conducted on the shift you are hired for, with the exception of the first day of GMP/Safety Training, which is scheduled from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caldwell, New Jersey.
