Our innovative solutions, crafted from corrosion-resistant alloys such as stainless steel, nickel, and titanium, are setting new standards in these exciting markets.We are looking for one Tooling Technician to join our team and perform maintenance activities in our Production Unit Alleima Special Metals located at Kennewick (WA), specialized in producing the high precision titanium tube products for very demanding markets like Aerospace and Medical. Our production unit currently employs approximately 135 people, with an ambitious recruitment plan in place to support our growth objectives in the coming years.Your RoleYou will be responsible to perform maintenance work at the facilities, operate CNC and manual grinding machines, lathes and other special machines used for the making of dies and mandrelsYour key responsibilities are:Safety First! Champion a culture of safety by ensuring all your activities and employee interactions prioritize a safe and compliant working environment. Act as a role model in promoting safety standards throughout the organization, including psychological safety.Service and install tools, cutting tools and clamping devices, while building new ones when needed.Have the ability to learn and operate various tooling equipment. (Grinders, Lathes, Roll stand bench)Be responsible for participating, supporting, and maintaining compliance to the company's Quality, Environmental, and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems, policies, procedures, programs, and activities as defined within the company's published management system documentation.Participate in Lean, 5S and TPM programsParticipate in cross-functional team meetingsBe able to participate in continuing education trainingHandle other duties as assigned by supervisorYour profileYou possess a high school diploma or the equivalent. You have 3-5 years in Tooling, Machinist, or Millwright and 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.You are not only technically savvy but you are also customer service driven and can work well in a team setting. You demonstrate the familiarity with the following; Milling machines: horizontal, vertical & jig bore, lathes: engine & table top model, grinding: surface & cylindrical, machine repair, soldering, heat treating. We are looking for someone who can lift up to 50 lbs, work hands-on with specific equipment and perform basic math and reading and also the ability to read & comprehend prints/mechanical drawings and have a fundamental mechanical aptitude.What can you expect from us? The hourly rate for this position is 35.60 and after one year goes to 39.55 per hour and we guarantee 40 hours/week full time position.Additional elements of the compensation package include medical, dental, vision insurance as well as company paid disability and life insurance.
