Job Description
NOV is actively hiring for a Quality Inspector in Houston, TX.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform NDE inspections such as MT, PT and UT
Preparing NDE reports
Perform inspections on components and assemblies
Preparing data books and certifications for the parts
Coordinate and assist inspections of material and goods received for compliance with specifications
Review inspection records received from suppliers for compliance
Prepare and coordinate Nonconformance Reports (NCR's) for nonconforming parts
Review the Material Test Reports (MTRs) and compare with specifications
Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection document
Validate part traceability
Coordinate and maintain gage and equipment calibration requirements
Maintain gage area
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations
Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
Perform his duties with minimum supervision
Be able to work overtime and weekends if needed
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum high school diploma or GED
Minimum 5-years' experience in manufacturing, quality control, or related field
2-5 years' hands-on experience working with measurement tools and fabrication process, preferably in oil & gas industry
MT and PT Level II certification
UT Level II certification is preferred
Familiar with ASME and ASTM codes
Be able read drawings and blueprints
Be able to read Material Test Reports (MTRs)
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
Familiar with Microsoft Teams
Familiar with EBS and Teamcenter is a plus
Be able to perform his duties with minimum supervision
Teamwork and good communication skill
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
Excellent knowledge and experience on NDE processes and report interpretation
Great knowledge in MS office
ERP Software
Able to read and interpret drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures
Familiar with ASME and ASTM codes.
Familiar with Microsoft Teams
Familiar with EBS and Teamcenter is a plus
Teamwork and great communication skill
