Job Summary
The Clinical Navigator facilitates the successful coordination of all aspects of patient's care.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Develops a bond with patients ensuring they feel welcomed, understood, and appreciated not only during consultation but the day of surgery as well.
- Provides a great patient experience while achieving company set conversion metrics.
- Delivers high customer satisfaction (always friendly and helpful).
- Educates and assists patients in selecting services.
- Review patient medical history and medications to determine if additional appointments or clearances are needed.
- Arranges for pre-op testing.
- Sends surgery requests with CPT codes to the authorization department.
- Confirms that medical necessity is met.
- Tends constantly to the phone and to resolving patient requests and/or issues.
- Schedules patients for surgery, either in person or over the phone.
- Communicates constantly with assigned surgeon and facility personnel for scheduling purposes.
- Coordinates pre-op and post-op appointments.
- Communicates with hospitals to perform all necessary pre-operative requirements.
- Communicate with vendors to ensure continuity of care for surgical cases.
- Acts as liaison between the clinic, surgery center, and physician.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
Education and Technical Skills
- RN license is preferred
- BLS required or may be obtained shortly after hire
- 2+ years of work experience in healthcare setting and/or Bachelor's degree in lieu of experience
- Proficiency in Smartsheet or equivalent software.
- Must thrive in fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel to other clinics in the Austin Metro Area as needed
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Enthusiastic team player
- Strong work ethic
- Knowledge of computer systems
- Ability to prioritize and execute when pulled in different directions
