Talascend is currently seeking a Medic for a contract opportunity at an industrial manufacturing site located in Theodore, AL.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide First Aid and Evaluation for medical emergencies and illnesses on site.
• Work cooperatively with other employees and medical agencies to provide the highest level of patient care.
• Read and interpret all required documents and write required reports and correspondence.
• Work cooperatively with vendor, subcontract and client management on site when a medical issue occurs to maintain proper protocol for the site and the affected employer.
• Maintain and organize Medic office and supplies with approval and oversight of the HSE manager.
• Monthly inspection of all hard medical equipment on site. (AED, eye wash stations, etc.)
• Maintain OSHA records for all workplace injuries and illnesses on site.
• Case management for all treated patients.
• Perform hygiene inspections and provide education on current health issues site wide as needed.
• Other duties as trained on and assigned within Safety and Environmental areas of HSE.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• 3 or more years as a Paramedic required.
• Current State EMS license required.
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required.
• Experience as a medic in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Willingness to train on safety and environmental procedures for the client site as needed.
