Position Summary The Uniform Attendant provides exceptional quality and service to our guests and employees. The Uniform Attendant is also responsible for the inventory and pressing of our guests' clothes, uniforms, and other items per their requests. They are responsible for the pick-up and delivery of all dry-cleaning requests.
Responsibilities - The Uniform Attendant is responsible for inventorying hotel uniforms, ensuring that all employees have clean, pressed and comfortable uniforms in good conditions.
- They will also be responsible for the pressing guest clothing, as well as employee uniforms, and other tasks related the department.
- The Uniform Attendant may have to wash, dry, fold and press guest laundry.
- Support the laundry team with linen sorting, folding, recording of poundage, loading & unloading of machines, etc.
- Be able to communicate with the uniform laundry service company of any issues that may have occurred.
- Conduct monthly uniform inventory audits and communicate efficiently of uniform discrepancies.
- Must be able to sew seams, hems, and buttons.
- Will also support with guest room calls, reporting engineering deficiencies via the housekeeping communication system.
- Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of other public area attendants, house attendants and/or housekeepers
- Requires the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- To maintain a high standard of personal appearance - ensuring that your uniform is clean and presentable. Hair should be clean and tidy.
- The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills - 1-2 years' experience in a luxury hotel preferred.
- Previous dry-cleaning or sewing experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and working knowledge of English.
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This will include any day of the week, all shifts, and holidays.
- Must have high communication skills and is able to speak with employee's as well as guests.
- Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
