The state supported living centers serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are medically fragile or who have behavioral problems. Performs advanced (senior-level) clerical work in areas such as bookkeeping, inventory control, statistics, and purchasing. Work involves clerical activities such as the requisition and distribution of supplies, compiling and tabulating data, checking documents for accuracy, handling and transporting documents, stock and inventory, and maintaining files. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance to agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned:
1. Requestor for Campus Wide Nursing Department and other departments as requested. This requires
People Soft and MIMS applications.
2. Responsible for all Medical Contract PRF's and Requisitions
3. Responsible for State Credit Card for Medical and Nursing Departments
4. Order and receive oxygen and processing of paperwork
5. Responsible for storage and release of Bio Hazard materials
6. Sterilization of equipment used in specialty clinics
7. Stocks Central Supply and Infirmary on a regular basis utilizing appropriate storage techniques
8. Assembles equipment on arrival and minor repairs/ maintenance of nursing equipment
9. Orders and maintains enteral feeding pumps
10. Organizes and follows policies and procedures for processing of paperwork to appropriate entities
11. Must be able to lift heavy boxes, reach, bend, squat, push, pull, lift at least 40 lbs
12. Must be able to maintain a professional attitude during high stress situations
13. Maintains and is accountable for assigned property as per instructions
14. Maintains required annual retraining with 100% completion rate at the end of each month
15. Follows all safety practices according to DSSLC policies and procedures
16. Other duties as assigned (i.e. assist in first Aid, x-ray, eye clinic, etc. as needed)
Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:
Valid Texas Driver's License
Initial Selection Criteria:
High School Diploma/GED
Computer programs such as Microsoft Office Programs.

Flexibility in work hours may be required for this position. The position may be required to work overtime and/or extended hours. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
