Building Receptionists in
Washington, DC to provide care and support for DC residents at shelters throughout the district.
*DC RESIDENTS AND BILINGUAL CANDIDATES PREFERRED * Primary Location: - Candidates must originate from the Washington DC area.
- Job sites will be in Washington DC.
- Jobs sites are subject to change or be added based on client needs and continued employment requires you to be able to work on site.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Welcome arriving guests to the Office of Migrant Services Reception and Respite center, ensuring completion of all building access procedures (e.g., sign-in prior to facility entry and exit).
- Direct guests to other Office of Migrant Services Reception and Respite professionals, services, and resources in alignment with guest needs.
- Notify Site Managers of any incidents, issues, or unmet needs within the area(s) where the Building Receptionist is stationed.
- Support tidiness and upkeep of stationed area, to include assistance with modifications (e.g., seasonal decorations).
QUALIFICATIONS - High School Diploman or GED
- One years' experience in providing direct care to vulnerable populations
- Experience working in a residential setting
- Ability to support survivors in crisis with empathy while maintaining professional boundaries
Preferred Qualifications: - Professional Registration or Certification including Project Management.
- Fluency in Spanish (bilingual English and Spanish).
- DC residents will receive priority.
