Position Summary: Planned Parenthood of Southern has a part time (22.5 hours per week) opening for a Clinic Assistant to work out of our Providence, RI Health Center. Schedule:Mondays from 10:00am - 7:00pmWednesdays from 11:00am - 7:00pm andSaturdays from 8:00am - 3:00pm Job ResponsibilitiesProvides and supports the clinician in providing world class, quality healthcare services that support the whole personProvides excellent client centered customer service; makes certain the client is the center of all decision makingParticipates in health center effects to achieve established productivity and revenue cycle goalsPartners with center manager and clinician to create efficient and effective system and processes to ensure business success and sustainability Knowledgeable of, understands and adheres to organizational and clinical standards, protocols, and policies Provide factual non-biased patient information and education necessary for the patient visit Performs technical clinical functions such as but not limited to: blood pressure, venipuncture, lab work, medical chartingPerforms basic office functions such as but not limited to: office reception, telephone triage, stocking supplies, filing, billing and coding, routine insurance data entry Ensures an environment that appreciates and embraces a variety of experiences and perspective which arise from differences in race, culture, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability and gender identityJob QualificationsSolution-oriented; positive, optimistic, confident can-do attitudeAbility to embrace a fast paced and dynamic environment where daily responsibilities could change frequently Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with diplomacy and tactMust be comfortable when discussing sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy optionsMust have attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is requiredMust be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends and have a reliable form of transportationBi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not requiredMust have high school diploma or equivalentMust be available to work Saturday hours weeklyCommunicates clearly and directly, continually able to hear, reflect, and act on feedback related to identity and equity with the aim to learnAwareness of multiple group identities and their dynamics, and brings a high level of self-awareness, empathy and humility to interpersonal interactionsInterest in expanding your knowledge about the role that racial inequity plays in our society, and are committed to building and/or deepening your commitment to racial equity in your work$19.75 - $24.68 an hourThis positions hourly rate* begins at $19.75 per hour and may increase based on full years of experience. *Due to our commitment to equity and fairness PPSNE does not negotiate salaries.
