We are seeking a responsible Quality Inspector to perform inspections of incoming and outgoing materials and products. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail, reliability and a commitment to maintaining high standards. Knowledge of quality standards is essential to ensure our products adhere to our tight specifications. Key areas to support, inspection, record retention, non-conformance management and root cause corrective action support.
Responsibilities:
Perform incoming inspection of parts, including tight tolerances, run-out and concentricity.
Conduct in process inspections, including final tool sign-off before shipment.
Work with Engineering and Purchasing on defects at receiving.
Process incoming material documentation: CoC, FAIs and material certifications.
Ability to update processes, and suggest improvements where deficiencies exist. o Process creation is not required, but input is necessary.
Provide training on quality processes and inspection techniques to technicians.
Skills & Experience:
3+ years experience performing part inspection.
Confident working in a cross functional team.
Knowledge of engineering drawings: GD&T, callouts, tolerances, notes, etc.
Experience working with Solidworks.
Proficiencies in using different metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauge, height gauge, roundness tested).
CMM experience preferred but not required.
Experience with quality functions within ERP systems.
Good verbal and written communication.
Familiar with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality standards.
Physical Demands:
Comfortable working in a factory environment and adhering to health and safety policies.
Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
