Responsibilities:

The Quality Control Inspector (QCI) is a permanent, full-time position supporting the overall mission of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) by facilitating the operations of a local Field Office. As a QCI, your responsibilities would include:

  • Verifying compliance with work standards, SOPs, and other requirements documents,
  • Paying particular attention to the timeliness and accuracy of work performed,
  • Screening documents to determine accuracy of data contained in them and determine which need corrective action,
  • Keeping various logs and uses random sampling to evaluate process efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness,
  • Delivering monthly quality reports to the program office,
  • Ensuring that errors are corrected and that staff members are trained to avoid errors in the future,
  • Responsible for recognizing problems that might invalidate samples, investigating complaints, reviewing violations found by USCIS personnel, and preparing reports of findings and actions needed or taken,
  • Recommending changes that will improve contract performance,
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance under the Department of Homeland Security from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services
  • Ability to read and understand proficiently in English
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 lbs. or more in a physical environment
  • Ability to perform tasks while bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
