Pay range: $20.00 - $30.00
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Receiving and counting stock items, and recording data.
- Packing and unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in the warehouse.
- Verifying inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigating descrepancies or adjusting errors.
- Storing items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse and supply room
- Marking stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment
- Cleaning and maintaining supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Determining proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Keeping records on the use and / or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Examinging and inspecting stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisor.
Experience and Education
- Must have a high school degree or GED.
- Ability to obtain a clearanace
- Prior experience is preferred but not required
- Either possess or the ability to obtain a forklift operating certification upon employment with M.C. Dean, Inc.
Abilities
- Lifts at least 100 pounds at one time and 60 pounds for an extended period of time.
- Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
- Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
- Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
- Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
- May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
- Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
- Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
- See details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
