Certification Details BLS required Job Details Medsurg/Neurology 12-hour nights Orientation is bi-weekly 36 hours a week Strokes, TBI, Craniotomies/cranioplasties, back surgeries, VP/LP shunts, seizures. Occasionally: syncope, hyper/hypotension & vascular surgeries. Special procedures: Lumbar puntures & CT insertions Common medications: Antiseizure medications, antipsychotic medications, antihypertensive, DM. Common equipment: Bard IV pumps, GE cardiac monitor, EPCD, sit-to-stand tool, Hoyer, transfer boards, seizure pads.
