Types of procedures required. Standard RPN III duties/skills. Knowledgeable in surgical pre/postoperative care. Required skills and minimum years of experience. Standard RPN III skills (at least 1-2 yrs. experience) in order to be proficient in duties and role as a registered nurse; strong work experience in pre/postoperative nursing i.e., abdominal surgeries, like lap chole/Appy, resections, and mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, different drainages, etc. Also, orthopedic nursing, like hip/shoulder arthroplasties, etc. REQUIRED: BLS. ACLS, Active RN Licence for Hawai.
