**Supervision:**
* Assists in guiding personnel in provision of quality patient care and contributes to the professional development of nursing staff.

* Visits all patient care units as often as necessary to ascertain condition of patients, evaluate staffing needs and provide on-site support to caregivers.
* Participates in the identification of staff learning needs and communicates those assessments and recommendations appropriately.

**Budget:**
* Demonstrates responsibility and accountability for nursing’s budget.
**Clinical Practice:**
* Assesses patient care delivery needs for patient population for all age groups (average age group populations include pediatrics from age 12 months, adolescent, adult and geriatrics).
* Assists with patient care as needed.
* Maintains clinical knowledge and expertise and uses established patient care standards when consulting with staff on clinical issues.
* Identifies areas of clinical practice that require policy clarification or modification. Provides suggestions for modifications when necessary.
**Regulation:**
* Adheres to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines
* Complies with applicable local/state/federal procedures, guidelines, regulations and laws
* Provides education, guidance, and assistance with unfamiliar procedures and policies; while assisting staff to identify resources for information and assistance.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required or in process of obtaining (must be obtained within 3 years of accepting position)
* Must be licensed as an RN in the state of Mississippi
* Must have appropriate clinical experience (3-5 years of critical care experience preferred)
* Must meet continuing education requirements
* Must maintain knowledge and resources necessary to provide age appropriate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
* Must be ACLS and PALs certified
* Must maintain current CPR certification
* Proficient with all Microsoft Office based programs including work, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Proficient with clinical software systems; API, Teletracking, SCM, Wellsoft
