Deborah Heart and Lung Center is seeking a Medical Director of the Cardiac ICU to join our experienced multidisciplinary critical care team. The ideal candidate will be board-certified in critical care and cardiology or have significant experience and interest in cardiac critical care.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee the care of a diverse range of acute and chronically ill patients, including those with cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support needs, airway management and LVAD care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team that includes advanced heart failure cardiologist, pulmonologist, surgical critical care specialists, and cardiothoracic surgeons.
Supervised cardiology fellows during their training in the cardiac ICU. - Develop and implement ICU protocols, best practices, and quality metrics.
Qualifications:
- Board certification and critical care and cardiology, or extensive experience in cardiac critical care management.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Commitment to high-quality, patient centered care.
Additional information:
- Night and weekend call supported by rotation (1 in 6) within the cardiology department, along with in-house cardiology fellow support.
