Position Responsibilities
The Cycling Without Age Program is a free program for residents of the Loch Lomond Villa and Village. The program allows residents to experience biking again or perhaps for the first time regardless of their physical abilities. As a pilot, you are responsible for above all else, the safe operation of a motorized trishaw. You will be matched with a resident(s) and will ensure residents are safely seated in the trishaw, provide safety instruction to the riders and engage them verbally throughout the ride to enhance their cycling experience. You will adhere to the policies, rules, regulations, procedures and requirements included in the Cycling Without Age training provided by Loch Lomond Villa Inc. You will also be responsible for abiding by the Province of New Brunswick traffic laws and the City of Saint John bicycle ordinances.
Volunteers quickly find themselves building relationships through this narrative program and discovering the beauty of stories that our residents are happily sharing as you ride together.
