Responsibilities Inspect machined components of various sizes utilizing general manufacturing inspection tools (i.E. CMM, Micrometer, Height Gauges, Caliper, bore gage.Verify calibration of inspection equipment on production floor and Quality Labs. Perform In-Process-Inspections of parts and processes to ensure adherence to engineering/customer specificationInspect final components to customer drawings, specifications, and proceduresPerform incoming inspection of raw material and componentsSupport Quality Assurance activities such as internal and external auditsComprehension of GD&T Read and understand drawings, in order to ensure parts meet specificationsWork closely with other departments within the business unit to ensure proper flow of production is met within area and to resolve machining or quality problemsRecord observations and make recommendations for improving processesWillingness and commitment to teach and to help improve skill sets in othersMaintain safe operations by adhering to our safety processWork independently with/without minimal direction of senior personnel in functional areaFollow company processes and procedures to comply with ISO 9001: 2015 and AS9100 Quality standardsFollow company established safety standardsOther duties as assignedAuthority to perform all tasks/activities responsible forSkillsAQL sampling, inspecting, or testing methods, including Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)Precision measuring tools, inspection techniques to check flatness, concentricity, and straightness of internal and external diameter of cylindrical components with close tolerance (.0005)Technical Drawing Interpretation and applied knowledge of GD&TUse of analog gagesSelecting the proper gage to use to inspect a specific featureBasic QualificationsHigh School or GED3 –5 years’experience in Quality and Manufacturing with specific experience performing inspection techniques using precision measuring tools and following quality procedures
