POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide excellent service to all guests at Slater’s 50/50
n
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
n
Primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
n
n- Be able to build rapport with guests, have a constant smile, keep a positive attitude, and take the initiative to stay busy and contribute to the overall success of the restaurant.
n- Be responsible for removing dirty plates, silverware, glassware and anything else from tables as guests finish with them, and after guests have left. The busser then takes anything dirty to the dishwasher. The table is then cleaned and set up again in accordance with Slater’s 50/50 set up policy, with fresh utensils and plates that should be there when guests first sit down. Bussers make sure tables are not wobbly, and their surrounding areas are clean and presentable, creating the “perfect table”.
n- Inspect all utensils, plates, and other service items to ensure absolute cleanliness. Replace as needed.
n- Assist the servers in keeping guests’ drinks re-filled; assist food runners in presenting food to tables.
n- Keep the floors clean, the trash cans emptied, the windows and doors clean.
n- Keep the men’s/women’s restroom clean as appropriate to gender.
n- Stock, clean and organize ice bins and server stations.
n- Empty bus tubs.
n- Understand all dining area and kitchen service procedures.
n- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
n- Be aware of, and abide by all Slater’s 50/50 policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
n- Provide guests with any and all items needed while visiting Slater’s 50/50.
n- Attempt to limit problems and liability related to guests’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading guests to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons.
n- Clock in and out as required by your shift and take breaks as required by policy.
n- Report to the General Manager and other supervisors as directed.
n- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
n- Have extensive knowledge of the current menu.
n- Perform any other job duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

n- Adequate skills and experience to perform job duties
n- Food handlers card
n- Able to stand for 8 hours - walks and stands during entire shift.
n- Able to communicate with team members
n- Able to understand and follow all policies and procedures
n- Able to lift and carry racks or stacks of dishes, glassware and other
n- Able to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push and lift.
