Locums - Santa Cruz, California, Primary Care Opening
  • Clinical Role:
    • Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position? Please ask about our generous referral fees!
    • ASAP - as soon as credentialed - 6 months to a year
    • Shift times: Weekdays: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a 1-hour lunch
    • Frequency: Monday - Friday, every week- no call, would also consider someone who could do only a few days/week
    • Setting: Internal Medicine- will consider a strong FP but that is not ideal
    • FTE: 1.0
    • # Providers Needed: 1
    • Duties: Typical IM clinic population average age 70. About half male/female with multiple comorbidities, such as diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, etc.
    • EMR: Cerner
    • Patients per Day: Other providers seeing 12-18 a day depending upon
    • complexity (including new patients)
    • Support Staff: MA's, MOR's, APP (one in clinic) and RN assigned to clinic
    • Reason for Coverage: Provider Retiring
    • Board Certification - BC in Internal Medicine required; Geriatrics is a plus! The site will consider candidate BC in Family Medicine if they have experience in IM & Family Medicine
    • Active CA License - Required
    • Other Certifications - BLS
    • Malpractice - Clean, strongly preferred
