Job Title: Quality InspectorJob DescriptionInspect Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) in various stages of production and decipher between acceptable and nonconforming material based on customer and national specifications. Analyze and interpret customer drawings, customer specifications, internal documents, manuals, and other materials to determine requirements. Inspect or measure materials or products for conformance to specifications.ResponsibilitiesIdentify items with rejection status and separate from those meeting specifications.Record inspection data in the electronic system.Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.Generate and apply various assembly procedures.Comply with all ESD procedures.Use Visual Optical Inspection Aids such as a Microscope and Ring light.Comprehend customer prints, Bill of Materials, specifications, and work instructions.Verify all components for placement, polarity, lead prep, part marking, damage, etc.Inspect all solder terminations in regard to alloy, wetting, and volume.Record all inspection results and define any nonconforming issues.Notify supervisors of nonconforming issues and assist in identifying and correcting issues.Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions for continuous improvement opportunities.Essential SkillsHigh School diploma, GED, or equivalent.2-3 years' experience as a QA PCBA inspector required.Current IPC-A-610 and J-standard certification certs a plus (will accept expired or current).Ability to complete manual and visual inspection of the boards.Ability to do rework.Use Microscopes (comfortable and able to work at a high magnitude for the majority of the day).Basic math skills.Ability to recognize and distinguish colors.Ability to read and comprehend technical documents.Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of component prep and manual insertion of electrical components onto Printed Circuit Boards is a plus.Able to perform mechanical assembly of small electrical components.Able to use epoxy and RTV or any adhesives as needed (candidates must be okay with this).Experience with electronics QC, assembly, soldering, and wire harnessing.Why Work Here?The company will pay for and provide IPC A-610 certification. PCB Manufacturer - Higher quality of Board that goes into drills that go a mile below the ground. Day shift positions and 2nd shift positions available. Must be okay with a decent amount of overtime after training is complete, including Saturday and Sunday. The employee is working in a clean room and must wear a full bunny suit with foot covers, mouth covers, gloves, and hair net. Employees cannot wear makeup, fake nails, or nail polish. Employees need to wear close-toed shoes and pants to work.
