Responsibilities
n
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant provides personal care for the patient and assists with activities of daily living. The CNA functions in a supportive relationship to professional disciplines and may function as an extension of these professional services with written instructions, appropriate supervision and specialized hospice training.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements
n
The CNA must have previous experience as a Nursing Assistant. Personal care experience is preferred. To be considered, the CNA cannot have a lapse of 24 consecutive months where the aide has not provided services for compensation on their record.

Education Requirements:
n
The CNA must have at least a certificate of completion from an approved Nurse Aide trainingProgram. In addition, registration is required by the appropriate Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
