Certification Details BLS State Licensure Job Details Job Summary: Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Essential Responsibilities: Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documents patient responses, assists physician in examinations, obtains and monitors physiological data, administers medication, regulates intravenous infusions, delivers patient care, interacts with family and patients, informs patients and families of hospital procedures, makes referrals regarding patient care needs, and delegates tasks to support staff. Job Requirements 1 year of experience. Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Some computer skills.
