A Lilia Host has a natural warmth and hospitable demeanor, is able to perform the required tasks with grace under pressure, problem solve on-the-fly, and thrive within a collaborative work environment. As the ambassador to the restaurant, the Host is the first and last person our guests will interact with and therefore has one of the most important roles in the restaurant!
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive day-time guest inquiries, as well as vendors, kindly
- Respond to guest emails/texts/phone calls in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain cover count by confirming guest reservations, updating reservation status, and reaching out to notify/waitlist
- Prepare for service including menu-printing, date-stamping and updating the wine lists when necessary
- Welcome guests upon arrival and verify vaccination status. Warmly thank guests as they depart
- Understanding pace of service through awareness of timing, table status, and upcoming seatings, effectively communicates to guests if we are behind on reservations
- Communicate guest notes to Management, Sommeliers, Chefs, and add to guest Resy profiles
- Maintain cleanliness of guest restrooms throughout service
- Assist with training new team members
