We are currently reviewing candidates who are highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Scientist specializing in Microbiology. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing complex microbiological tests and procedures to detect, identify, and analyze microorganisms.

Starting Work Schedule: 10 hour shifts, Variable (will work every other weekend)
Highlights of Main Job Duties:
- Perform a wide range of microbiological tests, including culture and sensitivity testing, molecular diagnostics, serology, and microscopic examination.
- Identify and classify bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites using advanced microbiological techniques.
- Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Ensure accuracy and precision in test results through meticulous quality control procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to laboratory equipment and test procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results and their implications for patient care.
- Provide technical support and expertise to other laboratory staff and trainees.
- Develops and modifies procedures as needed.
- Establishes and monitors programs, to ensure the accuracy of tests.
- Participates in all aspects of proficiency testing.
- Understands and adheres to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.
- Performs administrative duties including excellent customer service to all patients, clients and employees.
