As we continue to expand, we are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join our leadership team and help propel the next phase of growth.

Position Overview:

The Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the company's commercial strategy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CCO will be responsible for driving revenue growth, enhancing client relationships, and expanding market share across the CDMO space. This is a strategic leadership position that will combine deep industry knowledge with strong business acumen to accelerate the company’s position in the market and support its long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of the company's commercial strategy, aligning with business objectives and growth targets. Identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and potential partnerships that support the company's growth trajectory.
  • Revenue Growth & Business Development: Drive revenue generation through the acquisition of new clients and the expansion of existing accounts. Lead efforts in identifying, nurturing, and closing new business opportunities across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and specialty markets.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term, strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Serve as the senior point of contact for top-tier accounts and lead negotiations for major deals, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to maintain a competitive edge. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to the executive team based on market intelligence and business opportunities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, R&D, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure commercial efforts are aligned with operational capabilities. Support the seamless integration of client requirements into internal processes and ensure timely and quality delivery of services.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation. Develop and implement training programs to enhance the team's skills in negotiation, customer engagement, and market analysis.
  • Revenue Forecasting & Reporting: Oversee the development of accurate sales forecasts and performance metrics. Report regularly to the CEO and board of directors on progress towards growth targets, revenue generation, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Brand & Market Positioning: Elevate the company's brand presence in the market through thought leadership, participation in industry conferences, and driving marketing initiatives that promote the company's capabilities and successes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years in commercial roles within the life sciences or pharmaceutical services industry, with a strong focus on business development, sales, and client management in the CDMO space. Prior experience in a senior commercial leadership role, ideally as a VP, SVP, or CCO, is highly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the CDMO industry, including drug development processes, commercial manufacturing, regulatory environments, and client expectations in pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, as well as influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong strategic and tactical thinking with the ability to drive results in a growing company.
  • Business Acumen: Strong financial literacy and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics. Comfortable making data-driven decisions that support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage and grow key client relationships and engage in high-stakes negotiations with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Education: An advanced degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.

What We Offer:
